About 10 years ago, I saw a small white sign with green lettering and decide to pop in. Really hard to find them because they're on the second floor. I always get the chicken tikki with basmati rice and naan. The seating area is pretty big but not much of a vibe here. Fresh and delicious. So happy they're still in business!

This was the closest halal place in the area and although I don't usually dine at 3.5 star eateries we didn't have much choice because we were pressed for time. The Indian lady at the entrance was very nice and she had a very pleasant, welcoming demeanor.
We got the tandoori chicken appetizer, which was pretty big, almost like an entree and was delicious too! I love keema nan so ordered that and was delighted that it tasted great and had enough lens in it! The kebab roll was just ok, the kebabs were chicken kebabs and they had a sort of gravy in it which I didn't care much for. It was the last favorite thing I ate here. We also had the onion kulcha and garlic nan which are both great. The best thing is that they were all made fresh! That's why they're $5 each! The tea was delicious, was sweetened already but just right! -

Wow I will never forget my experience here. This place is a tiny hole-in-the-wall which is also really hard to find.
I had the lunch special with naan and in addition to being incredibly affordable the naan was actually FRESH, like they just made it..when I ordered it. It definitely hit the spot in terms of comfort food craving and price point.
Try this spot! You will not regret it. -

Tandoor Palace is the kind of place that can be described as a hole in the wall. Definitely not ADA accessible, you climb a flight of metal stairs from the sidewalk level to reach the restaurant and then descend another flight of stairs to reach the tables. If a coworker had not let me here I would have never found the place. But what Tandoor Palace lacks in ambiance it makes up for in taste and value. Lunch is about $8 which is a great deal in Manhattan.

Came to this spot for the first time and was not disappointed. My friends and I ordered Tandoori Chicken, Shrimp Curry, Goat Vindaloo, Paneer Saag, Garlic Naan and Rice. Everything was super flavorful and none of the meats were at all dry. The chicken was juicy and we ended up ordering more. The garlic naan was on the thinner side which I appreciated unlike the overly thick or buttery naan you find elsewhere. Service was great and there was plenty of seating as well as a much needed AC for a hot day. Will come again!
